Discover “All Things Bling” at Enchantress Boutique in The Shops at Wailea

The first things you notice about Judith (Fifi) Maurice and Britta (Bootzie) Alexandra are their warm smiles and the fact that they genuinely love what they do. And who wouldn’t? They surround themselves with beauty every day at their new shop, Enchantress Boutique. The 1,200 square-foot ultimate goddess boutique abounding in “all things bling” opened August 1st on the lower level in The Shops at Wailea.

Britta and Judith opened their first boutique in Paia in 1999 to the delight of customers like Stevie Nicks, Angela Bassett, Bridgit Fonda, Courtney Love, and even Ralph Lauren’s wife. Since then, they’ve been quietly empowering women while making fashion fantasy dreams come true. “Some of the lines we carry you’ll see in magazines, on the runway, and on Hollywood stars,” says Judith. “But why should they get to have all the fun? We love to help make every woman feel special, gorgeous and glamorous.”

“Currently our hottest-selling items are unique hand-beaded boho skirts and embellished tunics imported from India ,” adds Britta. “We carry things you won’t find anywhere else on Maui … from Brazilian Havaiana flip flops encrusted in authentic Swarovski crystals, to luxurious hand painted silk quilts of Judith’s design, to Mallorcan pearl panties & one-of-a-kind lingerie made on Maui .” You’ll also find exquisite designs by Marrika Nakk, Emma Savahl, & Sue Wong; Gerrard Yosca wood & turquoise jewelry, Bootzie Faerie’s Magic Stardust, gorgeous Venetian masks, Maui Enchantress Goddess Glam bed dust, mermaid statues, and paintings.

Of course the ultimate dress up occasion is a wedding, and since there are at least 7,000 weddings per year on Maui , Enchantress Boutique has a huge wedding component. Judith and Britta feature their own line called Maui Fantasy Wedding Wear. They specialize in helping island brides create a customized, one-of-a-kind look.

But the only way to truly experience the magic of the Enchantress Boutique is to visit. The shop is open seven days a week, 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. It’s all about the feminine, but they know how to treat men as well – Judith says “there’s a mermaid lounge in the back of the store where men can sit, relax, and enjoy the goddess parade.”

Every goddess should have a Swarovski crystal-studded iPod cover, right?
