Dollar Rent A Car has opened their newest location at
The Shops at Wailea
Wailea, Maui, Hawaii – Dollar Rent A Car has expanded with the opening of its newest location in The Shops at Wailea. Located on the lower level next to Ritz Camera and Coldwell Banker Island Properties, Dollar Rent A Car is open from 7:00am to 5:00pm daily. This is the fourth Dollar Rent A Car location on Maui and the 17th location in Hawaii.
In March of this year, Dollar Rent A Car started offering Japanese language Virtual Drive Guide GPS units. The portable MediaWill Telematics units provide voice prompted turn-by-turn driving directions in Japanese or English to thousands of popular resorts, hotels, restaurants and sightseeing locations via a 3.5 inch (8.9 cm) color touch screen. MediaWill Telematics is a technology company based in Hawaii. The Virtual Drive Guide allows the user to select menu options in Japanese or English text.
Virtual Drive Guide features one-step input of destination codes obtained via Hawaii Drive Guide maps produced by Honolulu Publishing Company and provided at the time the vehicle is picked up. Customers need only to choose a destination from the supplied map and enter the corresponding code into the unit and they’re on their way. Virtual Drive Guide also offers the flexibility to choose a Point of Interest (POI) category directly from the touch screen. Users can select from lists of hotels, restaurants, shopping, beaches or parks, financial institutions, visitor attractions, golf courses and Dollar Rent A Car locations. The units are available at the time of pickup for between $9 and $10 depending on options.
