Wailea, Maui, Hawaii – Billabong has expanded to the south side with the opening of its retail store in The Shops at Wailea late last month. Located on the lower level between Gap and The Walking Company, the shop is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. This is the second Billabong store for Maui (the Front Street Lahaina store opened in June of 2003), and the fourth in Hawaii.
“The Shops at Wailea is the perfect location to showcase and sell a complete assortment of Billabong clothing and accessories for the entire family. We’ll also carry other brands from the Billabong family, such as Element, Von Zipper Sunglasses, and Kustom Sandals,” says Steve Culley, Vice President, Retail Operations. Culley said they were off to a great start with the sales the store achieved over the busy Thanksgiving weekend.
Founded in Australia in 1973, Billabong now employs over 1,300 people around the globe, and its products are sold in more than 100 countries. Their most popular products are T-shirts, boardshorts, backpacks and swimwear.
A grand opening celebration is planned for early 2006.
