Fashion forefront adds storefront, at The Shops at Wailea
Wailea, Maui (April 24, 2008) - The Shops at Wailea boasts another addition to their distinguished array of internationally acclaimed designers with the opening of Betsey Johnson. The second and largest of her retail boutiques to open in the state, and the only on Maui, the beautiful new store is located in the exclusive East Wing luxury section at The Shops at Wailea and is a treasure box full of her one-of-a-kind and classic, feminine and flirty, designer apparel and accessories.
Famed New York designer Betsey Johnson opened the doors to her new boutique at the Shops at Wailea on February 29, 2008. The 1,500 square foot store offers customers the complete world of Betsey Johnson, housing signature dresses and all of her accessories including Betsey Johnson handbags, shoes, belts, watches, sunglasses, jewelry, perfume, swimwear, legwear, and lingerie. The retail location features Johnson’s originality and imagination with its signature pink walls, a black and white checkerboard floor, the designer’s eye catching artwork set in ornate frames, rose printed seats, and shiny metal fixtures. Lifelike mannequins and cleverly merchandised product aim to draw customers in to seek what’s inside through the entrance and store windows. All Betsey Johnson retail staff is trained and committed to bringing the best shopping experience to every customer through innovative style and simply, a great attitude. Residing amongst luxury brands as Fendi, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton, this new central location and product offerings are sure to attract an even wider number of Betsey fans.
New York designer Betsey Johnson has built her long-standing career in fashion by following her own set of rules. Betsey Johnson joined forces with Chantal Bacon in 1978 and started the Betsey Johnson label as it is known today. That year they opened their first retail store in the heart of Soho.
